Hello and Welcome!
My journey into photography has had many twists and turns but has finally come full circle. I welcome you and are honored you would consider me to photograph your world. I come from a long line of very artistic, creative, and hands on people. I am one of them. In 2002, I earned my Art degree from the University of Southern Maine but went right into office work. (you know, got to pay the bills) But I've always continued to dabble in the creative arts and somehow always found a way to infiltrate that into my work.
I met Jen a couple of years ago and realized we are kindred spirits. I'll spare you the details but you should have seen us try to put together her gigantic soft box. What a mess that was! That's when we bonded and I knew we were a match to contend with. To make a long story short, I am now so happy to be working with her and for her to create these wonderful images for very wonderful clients, you!
I love Photography. I love the client interaction. I want you to feel comfortable from the moment you walk in the studio to the time you receive your images and beyond. I love trying to make the kids smile (and adults too). I love going through the photos in the editing process. But most of all, I love and LIVE for presenting photos to my clients. I want you to love the images as much as I do. It's so important to me that you are satisfied way beyond your expectations.
Capturing families together is the best job around. As we all know, life can get crazy busy. Having a family portrait session means you get to stop for just a minute and be together. You get to let loose and have some fun, hopefully create some memories and end up with great photos that will hang on your wall for a lifetime (or until the next session). It's truly an honor to be a part of that process.
Along with families, taking pictures of kiddos makes my heart happy. Kids make me happy. They are little people with big attitudes. When I capture that in an image, it's amazing. I love it. I love it because I know you'll love it. To capture your child's personality in the tiniest smirk or squint of an eye, that's my goal. I didn't do a great job documenting my boys first few years of life, but I've love to document the first few years of yours.
As always, thank you for considering and choosing images by Kate Smith at Jennifer Lynn Photography. It's an honor to be a part of your day and to let me into your world.
